Dr. Sidi Mohamed Limame, MD is a cardiologist from Mauritania with expertise in heart failure, cardiomyopathies, hypertension, and cardiovascular imaging. He currently serves as a Cardiologist, Head of the Emergency Department, and Chairman of the Scientific Committee at Atar Hospital Center, where he is actively involved in clinical care, research, and medical education.

Dr. Limame completed advanced postgraduate training in heart failure, echocardiography, cardiovascular imaging, and hypertension through internationally recognized programs in France and Mauritania. His clinical and research interests focus on heart failure, cardiomyopathies, multimodality cardiac imaging, and improving cardiovascular care in Africa.

He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented scientific work at regional and international cardiology conferences, contributing to research on heart failure, coronary artery disease, infective endocarditis, and cardiovascular outcomes in Africa.

As Country Lead for Mauritania at Amyloidosis Africa, Dr. Limame works to strengthen national awareness of cardiac amyloidosis, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, support clinician education, and expand research initiatives, including the African Cardiac Amyloidosis Registry (ACAR). He is committed to improving the early recognition, diagnosis, and management of amyloidosis through collaborative efforts across Mauritania and the African continent.
