Carson Anekeya is a digital journalist and communications professional who contributes to Amyloidosis Africa as Communications & Digital Media Coordinator, supporting awareness campaigns, digital storytelling, and public engagement initiatives aimed at improving recognition of rare cardiovascular diseases across Africa.
He brings experience in health journalism, strategic communications, and advocacy, with a strong focus on using digital media to raise awareness about important social and health issues. Carson has written feature articles covering topics such as health, digital health, mental health, technology, and human-interest stories, helping amplify underrepresented voices and bring attention to issues affecting communities across Africa.
Carson currently serves as Project Coordinator at Unda Youth Network, where he leads communication strategies, develops digital storytelling initiatives, and coordinates stakeholder engagement to strengthen program visibility and impact. He is also a Contributing Writer at EpicPulse Magazine, where he researches and publishes feature articles on health, lifestyle, and technology-related topics.
In addition, he works as Advocacy and Communication Manager at Stand Out 4 Mental Health, where he leads awareness campaigns, manages digital content, and coordinates communication strategies aimed at reducing stigma and promoting mental health awareness in communities. His work includes developing content for digital platforms, managing advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships with organizations and stakeholders.
Carson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Digital Communication from Zetech University and has received additional training in digital marketing, media relations, digital ethics, and freedom of expression.
Through his role with Amyloidosis Africa, Carson supports the development of communication strategies that help translate complex medical information into accessible and engaging content, expanding awareness of cardiac amyloidosis and strengthening public engagement with cardiovascular health initiatives across the continent.
