Dr. Hatem Soliman Aboumarie is a cardiologist, cardiovascular imaging specialist, and critical care physician with extensive international experience in echocardiography, cardiovascular imaging, medical education, mechanical circulatory support, and advanced cardiac critical care.

He serves as Secretary and Executive Board Member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and has held several leadership roles within the association, including Councillor for Echocardiography and membership of its Education and Scientific Initiatives Committees.

Dr. Soliman is a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care and ECMO at Harefield Hospital and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. His clinical and academic interests include critical care echocardiography, lung ultrasound, mechanical circulatory support, and heart and lung transplantation.

He is a Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI), the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He also serves on the editorial boards of several cardiovascular journals and is listed as a Visiting Professor at Mayo Clinic, Florida.

As Global Scientific Advisor – Cardiovascular Imaging & Education at Amyloidosis Africa, Dr. Soliman contributes international expertise to the development of cardiovascular imaging standards, professional education, faculty development, and scientific collaboration, supporting efforts to strengthen cardiac amyloidosis recognition and diagnostic capacity across Africa.
