Dr. Serigne C. T. NDAO is an interventional cardiologist with extensive clinical and academic training across Senegal and France. He is currently undertaking advanced fellowship training in complex coronary (CHIPS) and structural heart interventions at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud (ICPS), reflecting a high level of subspecialty expertise in modern interventional cardiology.
He previously served as an Interventional Cardiologist at Hôpital Principal de Dakar, where he managed a wide spectrum of cardiovascular conditions, with a focus on invasive procedures, cardiac intensive care, and echocardiography. His earlier training includes a fellowship in interventional cardiology in France and a full cardiology residency at Aristide Le Dantec Hospital in Dakar, one of Senegal’s leading tertiary care centers.
Dr. NDAO holds advanced qualifications in structural and valvular interventional cardiology from Université de Lille and Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar (UCAD).
Within Amyloidosis Africa, Dr. NDAO serves as the Country Lead for Senegal, contributing to efforts aimed at improving awareness, early diagnosis, and clinical research in cardiac amyloidosis. His dual exposure to European and West African healthcare systems positions him to play a key role in strengthening diagnostic pathways and advancing collaborative research initiatives in the region.
