Prof. Sami Milouchi, MD, is a Tunisian Professor of Cardiology, interventional cardiologist, and Head of the Cardiology Department at CHU Habib Bourguiba Hospital in Médenine. He is academically affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax and is actively involved in clinical practice, cardiovascular research, medical education, and the development of cardiovascular services in Tunisia.

His clinical and academic interests include interventional cardiology, acute cardiovascular care, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular risk, and the application of digital health solutions to improve coordination of emergency cardiac care. He has contributed to clinical research spanning interventional cardiology, contrast-associated acute kidney injury, and cardiac implantable electronic devices.

Prof. Milouchi has also contributed to national cardiovascular initiatives, including the Najda digital emergency network, which supports coordination of care for patients with acute coronary syndromes and facilitates connections between healthcare facilities and cardiac catheterization services.

As National Lead – Interventional Cardiology & Cardiovascular Care, Tunisia, within the Amyloidosis Africa Tunisia National Team, Prof. Milouchi contributes his expertise in cardiology and cardiovascular care to support improved recognition and referral of patients with suspected cardiac amyloidosis, multidisciplinary collaboration, professional education, and the development of clinical and research activities in Tunisia.
