Dr Hanaa Mahmoud Mohammad Abdelaziz is a cardiologist and academic researcher in cardiovascular medicine based in Mansoura, Egypt. She currently serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, where she is actively involved in clinical cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, teaching, and scientific research.

Her clinical and research interests include echocardiography, clinical cardiology, heart failure, electrocardiography, cardiomyopathies, hypertension, myocardial infarction, and cardiac imaging. She has contributed to several cardiovascular research publications, including studies on epicardial fat volume assessment in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), cardiac MRI strain analysis in mitral stenosis, and the cardiovascular effects of Ramadan intermittent fasting among hemodialysis patients.

Dr Abdelaziz is actively engaged in cardiovascular imaging and translational cardiovascular research, particularly in advanced imaging applications related to heart failure and structural heart disease.

As Regional Lead – Mansoura, Egypt within Amyloidosis Africa, Dr Hanaa Mahmoud Mohammad Abdelaziz supports regional scientific collaboration, cardiovascular awareness initiatives, research development, and efforts aimed at strengthening early recognition and diagnosis of complex cardiovascular diseases, including cardiac amyloidosis, across Egypt and the wider region.
