Prof. Sylvie Laurette Evelyne Ndongo Amougou is a cardiologist, academic physician, and researcher based in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Yaoundé I and practices at the Yaoundé University Teaching Hospital (CHU Yaoundé). Her work focuses on cardiovascular health, epidemiology, and public health in Cameroon.

Her research addresses key cardiovascular and population health challenges in Africa, including hypertension, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, and cardiovascular risk factors. She has also contributed to studies examining the relationship between infectious diseases, oral health, and cardiovascular outcomes.

Through her academic and clinical work, Prof. Ndongo Amougou contributes to strengthening cardiovascular research, medical education, and clinical training in Cameroon and across the region.
